Since the advent of blue light, white light and high brightness led in the 1990s, the luminous efficiency of led has been continuously improved. The commercialized LED tube has reached the luminous efficiency of 50 lm/W~100 LM /W, and its luminous efficiency is still improving. It is estimated that the LED tube will eventually reach about 200 lm/W, which is not only much higher than the incandescent lamp of 10 LM /W~30 LM /W (including halogen tungsten lamp), but also much higher than all the current light sources. However, the power of a single LED is very small, only 1 W~5 W, and the luminous efficiency is only a few hundred lumens no matter how high. However, the stage lamps often have the luminous flux of kilowatts and tens of thousands of lumens. Therefore, many people have never thought of using LED in the stage lamps before.
At the beginning of this century, blue LED was popularized and white LED technology gradually matured. LED light efficiency than incandescent lamps doubled, high power (watt level)LED life can reach tens of thousands of hours. At the same time, it also has the advantages of fast switching and convenient dimming, and new LED stage lamps that combine multiple led to improve the total luminous flux begin to appear. At first, few people wanted to buy such lamps because of the technology and the high price. In recent years, due to the improvement of LED lighting efficiency, the popularity of condenser cup, tube core, shell and other spare parts, many manufacturers began to assemble and produce. LED lamps with its bright color light, energy conservation and environmental protection advantages to attract people to try.
LED lamps were used in some performances with good results.
At present, there are two modes of LED used for white light lighting: one is to add phosphor powder to the tube core that emits blue light, so that part of the blue light is converted into yellow light through phosphor powder, and part of blue light and yellow light are mixed into white light; the other is to combine three LED tubes, which are red, green and blue respectively, to form white light after mixing. The former way used for TV lighting is mostly, the later way used for stage lighting is mainly.
LED lamps can be used for stage lighting thanks to several key features:
(1) Energy saving and high efficiency.
Compared with incandescent light source (including halogen tungsten light source) lamps, LED lamps are characterized by energy saving and high efficiency.
(2) Bright color.
During a stage performance, lights are used to color the scenery, props, costumes, or to create a specific stage atmosphere. Stage performances make extensive use of colored light. Compared with the color light commonly used in stage lamps, LED lamps have better performance in color than traditional light sources.
(3) Long service life.
Led have a life span of tens of thousands of hours, while incandescent lamps have a life span of only hundreds or thousands of hours. When made into LED stage lamps, many LED tubes are concentrated together, and the temperature of the LED tube will rise. This will lead to reduced LED tube luminous efficiency and shortened life.
(4) Easy to use.
DMX512 signal issued by the console controls the brightness of red, green and blue LED tubes respectively, and the light beams of various colors and brightness, such as red, orange and yellow, can be called out. One lamp can replace multiple conventional stage lamps in different colors, eliminating the need for a color changer. The lamp body does not have the general incandescent lamp glass bulb and filament and so on fragile article, carries and the daily maintenance and so on are much simpler, is specially suitable for often disassembles the stage performance occasion.
